As a Country GA Accountant you are responsible for the accounting from A to Z, the daily
accounting, and the tax submissions. You manage the treasury tasks (cash management,
forecast, contact banks) and you’re the main point of contact for the 3 entities and the external
audits.
You prepare the annual accounts, financial reports. You report directly to the Country General
Accounting Director.
Your challenge
For the accounting from A to Z, along with the GSSC team and HQ team for daily accounting, closing, account reconciliation, and reporting in the AP and GL departments.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual general ledger account reconciliations for all types of accounts, including accruals, prepaids, fixed assets and intangibles, to ensure accurate reporting and general ledger reliability.
You are responsible for AR billing: Customer invoices' issuance in collaboration with the business.
You perform monthly bank reconciliations.
You participate in the monthly closing process alongside with HQ team.
You prepare monthly and quarterly reports.
You are responsible in preparing the year-end closing in collaboration with the HQ team.
You are responsible for the VAT requirements for the 3 entities.
Assist with the annual external audit.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial compliance and accuracy.
Think proactively and continuously about process improvement.
You play an active role in various projects related to optimizing business processes and suggest improvements.
As a Country GA Accountant, you are part of the project team during the
Implementation of new software tools.
**Profile**:

Bachelor's degree in accounting; Master preferred.
At least 5 years of experience in accounting or finance.
Strong knowledge of BE GAAP and regulatory requirements.
Experience and good practical knowledge with Belgian VAT, CIT
Strong analytical, problem solving & organizational skills.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to cope with stress and prioritize tasks.
Reliability and responsibility
You are a true team player who is committed and motivated.
Ability to work in autonomy.
Language skills
Fluent in English and Dutch or French is a MUST.
Another language will be considered an asset.
Good verbal and written communication skills
Computer skills:
You have experience with an ERP system.
Advanced Excel experience is needed
