The General Ledger & Treasury Specialist prepare the statutory financial statements of the company. His work is based on the accounting and management data that he receives through the various reports, considering international standards. In addition to this, he must ensure the tax and legal compliance and reporting which is linked to it.
He is also managing the treasury of the company and report it accordingly to the HQs.
**The Responsibilities include**:
**Accounting**
- Month-end, Year-end closing (Payroll, IFRS management in HFM-Hyperion)
- Balance Sheet accounts reconciliations
- Balance Sheet and PL preparation and variation Analysis
- Management of Fixed Assets
- External | Internal Audit and pre-audit management
- Ensure accuracy of Financial Statements in accordance with both Local GAAP and IFRS and in compliance to internal policies
**Tax**
- Internal and External Reporting, Corporate tax preparation (DNA)
**Treasury**
- Treasury local management
- Treasury Reporting in HFM-Hyperion: Actual, Forecast, Flash + variances analysis
**P2P**
- Strong collaboration with P2P Team in Shared Service Centre based in Romania: check and send invoices to local tool
- Expenses notes management
- Suppliers creation in SAP ECC
**Legal**
- All kind of publications (BNB, Moniteur belge, statistics)
**Controlling & Reporting**
- Support the controller on different tasks (daily flash, costs accrual during month-end, costs analysis, BDG & Forecast upload in tool, KPI refresh)
**Profile**
**Education**: Bachelor's degree in Accounting
**Experience**: At least five years general ledger accounting experience is required
**Skills/expertise**:
- Strong technical accounting background (including IFRS)
- Good analytical and problem solving skills
- Team player and have ability to work independently
- Accurate working-method as well as the ability to meet deadlines (organization skills)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Dutch-French-English)
**Nice to have qualifications**:
- Experience in a ‘Big 4’
- Chartered accountant
- knowledge of SAP
- Knowledge of Excel
- Knowledge of Accon
