**Job Summary**
This position is responsible for implementing value-added sourcing strategies and tactics that enable UPS to procure goods and services at the best overall cost of ownership and highest quality. He/She works closely with business units to define sourcing requirements that will meet business needs. This position leverages and monitors spend and strategic relationships with suppliers to drive the procurement process and deliver results by assigned category. He/She manages supervisors within the department.
**Responsibilities**:
- Communicates corporate procurement strategy and develops global/national strategies.
- Works with suppliers and other teams to establish opportunities that include diverse suppliers.
- Examines complex supply chains to identify opportunities for cost reduction and improved service.
- Coordinates communication to ensure response to internal customer questions and requests.
- Analyzes industry trends, current spend data, and spend history to forecast industry direction, future spend levels, and set performance goals.
- Utilizes and customizes supplier scorecards as needed to monitor critical and strategic supplier performance.
- Receives vendor proposals to distribute to appropriate project team members.
- Develops risk analysis documents to inform management decisions.
- Manages vendor performance to ensure contract agreements are followed.
- Manages RFP process with suppliers.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's Degree or International equivalent in Accounting, Engineering, Finance, Logistics, or related discipline - Preferred
- Working knowledge of SQL, Python, and Excel
- Strong negotiation skills
- Experience supervising other employees
- R Studio knowledge - Preferred
