Accounts Payable Specialist

Functieomschrijving
- You are responsible for controlling and processing purchase invoices and charge expenses to accounts and cost centers and control cash spending.
- You follow up on the approval process of all incoming invoices assigned to you.
- You ensure the timely and correct execution of payments.
- You are responsible for managing the supplier balance: reconciliation of supplier accounts with payments, and follow-up of outstanding amounts.
- You offer support in the closing process: coordination of intercompany supplier positions, and preparation of commission entries.
- You perform recordkeeping and prepare financial reports and surveys.
- You keep informed of regulatory requirements and best practices in your field of expertise.
- You maintain warm contacts with suppliers and internal employees and have the right team spirit to be backup during absences.

Profiel
- You have minimum a bachelor’s degree in Economics, Accounting
- You have preferably a proven work experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or a similar role.
- A good Accounts Payable Specialist must have an excellent understanding of account payable principles, accounting standards, and industry regulations.
- You are detail-oriented since you will review many financial documents.
- You can easily handle Excel and have experience with an accounting package or ERP system. Knowledge of SAP is an asset.
- You have excellent collaboration and communication abilities since you work closely with internal and external stakeholders.
- You speak Dutch fluently and have a good knowledge of English. French is a plus.
