We’re searching for a Tax Manager for Sarens Projects, specialized in engineering and executing projects in heavy lifting and engineered transport, worldwide. The Tax Manager will be providing business and sales support as from the bidding phase and startup phase of our projects.
- Your job as a Tax Manager in a nutshell:_
- Diving deep in every project tender to detect and minimize potentially tax risks, ensure compliancy with relevant tax laws and regulations and minimize tax costs.
- Assisting in calculating the tax impact / cash out for international project tenders.
- Reviewing tax relevant clauses in contracts and giving conclusive advice.
- Supporting the sales department, operations and finance department in tax matters related to international business relations, tax structures, transactions and returns. Translating complex tax knowledge into practical advice and decisions.
- Ensuring and managing compliance with applicable tax regulations.
- Reporting follow-ups about tax compliance for Sarens Projects.
- Ensuring proper transaction flows are being documented and implemented across the group and kept up-to-date.
- Providing value-added insight and advice regarding corporate tax, personal income tax, VAT and customs duties and other tax implications of business decisions.
- Participating and assisting in tax audits.
- Maintaining good relationships with external tax advisors and local tax authorities to ensure the highest quality service.
- Raising awareness of tax related matters within the business and conducting trainings when needed.
- Contributing to the continued implementation and improvement of the global tax strategy.

**PROFILE**

We are looking for a **proactive** and **result** **driven Tax Expert.** You are a **critical person** with **excellent analytical skills** with the capacity to formulate **clear, good and conclusive advice** to others. You are able to **take a clear stand** and **present** it **convincingly** to others, with strong arguments. Your **strong communication skills** and your **diplomacy** allows you to **adapt** to different situations and cultures and to establish strong relationships. You’re a **hands-on** and **cost-conscious** **problem solver** who strives to create added value for the company through smart tax strategies. With your **knowledge**, **enthusiasm** and **perseverance** you’ll install the culture change that tax experts are consulted at the start of each project (in the bidding sales phase).
- The profile requirements:_
- **Master**’s degree in law, economics or commercial engineering, with ideally an extra degree in Taxation.
- At least 5 - 7 years of professional **experience** as a Tax Controller, Tax Manager, Tax Specialistin an international project-based company.
- Preferable experience with permanent establishment challenges, cash repatriation, withholding taxes, 183-day rule and transfer pricing.
- Strong knowledge of **English**, knowledge of **Dutch** and **French** is preferred.
