WorxInvest focuses on direct and indirect investments, including real estate, and provides businesses the necessary funding and expertise for their growth, further professionalization and succession planning, aiming for long-term value creation with a positive contribution to society.
**Division**
Within WorxInvest, the Financial & Group Controller will be responsible for delivering reliable internal and external financial information, ensuring effective and efficient internal finance controls and report on the investment results of WorxInvest (both as an asset manager and as an investment company). The Financial & Group Controller will be responsible for the monthly management reporting, the quarterly reporting to the Audit & Risk Committee and the annual financial report.
The Financial & Group Controller is a key member of the team and reports directly to the CFO. Depending on the topic, he or she works either individually or in cooperation with the accounting department, the investment team and the treasury manager. He or she will be the right-hand of the CFO in financial reporting and finance controls.
The activities and a (finance) organization continuously “in transformation” result in a very dynamic team, taking up different challenges, close to the heart of the company, its subsidiaries and its investments.
**Tasks**
- Plays a key role in the consolidation and reporting process, for both internal and external purposes. Both BE GAAP as IFRS.
- Prepares the monthly management report, the monthly cash report, the quarterly report for the ARC and the annual financial report (in close cooperation with the CFO)
- Prepares the annual budget (in close cooperation with the CFO) and forecast
- Is involved in setting up processes and systems and liaising with external auditors
- Is involved in setting up systems for reporting to external investors and actual reporting to these external investors, if applicable.
- Supports technical accounting research efforts. Analyzes, researches and concludes on the impact of accounting standards and advises the CFO.
- Prepare group finance policies and oversee control framework.
- Prepare a variety of (ad hoc) financial analyses and presentations independently, providing information to support management decisions.
- Works very close with all other colleagues of WorxInvest (mainly the investment team, the treasury department, the legal team, the real estate team and the accounting & tax team) and support them on a number of topics.
**Profile**
- Relevant experience (minimum 5-10 years) in financial accounting, auditing and financial controls, with or in companies publishing IFRS consolidated financial statements.
- Sound technical and practical knowledge of IFRS and BE GAAP.
- Knowledge of S4H, SAP Analytical Cloud and CCH Tagetik is a plus
- Audit experience within a Big4 or second tier accounting firm
- You have a strong affinity with identifying risks and determining suitable internal controls in finance processes.
- You are good in written and oral communication in English
- You have good interpersonal skills and easy contact to interact with Senior Management and the wider organization of the Company
- You have a strong analytical insight and a proactive attitude
