ISB PLUS & SUMMER CAMP COORDINATOR

(Part-time - 50%)

Introduction to the position

ISB Plus is the name of our after school co-curricular activities programme, which directly supports the school's Mission. The activities provide opportunities for personal development for students by introducing them to different interests and experiences.

ISB Plus Team is currently looking for an ISB Plus / Summer Camp Coordinator to reinforce the team (fixed-term contract), starting on the 14th of August 2023.

The position is proposed on part-time basis (50%). Working days correspond to the ISB calendar:

- ISB School days : Monday to Thursday from 1PM till 5.45 PM
- all ISB Personal Days and Learning Conferences : from 9AM till 4.30PM (flexible hours)

The ISB Plus / Summer Camp Coordinator also works for the Summer camp during the week of 15th August : 4 working days from 8.30 AM to 4PM.

Key accountabilities

The ISB Plus / Summer Camp Coordinator provides supporting services (administrative, practical and organizational) to all stakeholders of the Athletics & Activities department (students, coaches, parents and leadership) in order to:

- support the Activities Department in running smoothly in all operational areas of ISB Plus and supervision
- creation and management of activity summer camps in partnership with different stakeholders/organizations
- provide administrative support that enables stakeholders to do their jobs most effectively
- provide students with support and information as required
- provide parents with a service in line with their expectations
- play a key role in the Activities admin team
- function as the first point of contact for students, instructors and parents during activities after school.
- work as a member of the overall Athletics and Activities Department, providing support where needed

Organisational tasks:

- Support in documentation of activity schedules and communication
- Daily lists for child welfare

Administrative & operational tasks:

- Liaise with CAS / International Award instructors and students for service placements
- Main contact for instructors with training and orientation in ISB Plus
- Mentoring interns in their activities
- Daily attendance and activity management using Schools Buddy
- Liaise with general offices and buses for attendance
- Open classes / Dance recital / Activities showcase preparation and facilitation
- Manage equipment and supplies for instructors throughout season
- Organization of summer activity camps with external contractors

Teaching:

- Regular Ad hoc activity replacements for unplanned absent instructors

Communication Duties
- Social Media and internal communication via portal
- Be main contact in the Activities department in the lunchroom meeting location afterschool and at collection
- Main contact for swimming activity bus and instructors

Skills and competences

Experience, Skills, and Qualities
- Written and spoken English to native level + French at near native level. Other languages are an asset
- Excellent IT skills (Google Suite, Social Media) and willingness to learn
- Strong organizational and office management skills
- Flexibility - ability to multi-task - willingness to step in as needed
- A “can-do” attitude - team player - sense of humor
- Initiative and problem solving ability - attention to detail
- A high degree of discretion regarding confidential matters
- At least 2 - 5 years professional experience working
- Enthusiastic to work with children of all ages in an international educational environment
- Ability to work autonomously and to manage priorities
