**Summary**:
You supervise the day to day activities of staff that comprise the accounting function including joint interest billings, revenue and asset accounting. Your responsibilities may include other accounting functions such as VAT and reporting. You are responsible for accuracy, timelines and the general integrity of the accounting function and related reports.

You report to the Regional Administration & Finance Manager.

Scope : Belgium

**What will be your responsibilities?**:

- Assist in coordination of Shared Service Center (SSC) located in Mauritius together with Dep. Finance Manager
- Responsible for balance sheet
- Control of AP invoices booked by the SSC
- Maintain close contact with SSC on improvement
- Record journals accurately and in a timely manner in general accounting and according the different analytical axes
- Perform monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
- Participate actively to the monthly closures
- Assist external auditors
- Perform monthly VAT declarations for different legal entities
- Perform quarterly listings
- Perform intrastat declarations and legal statistics
- Assist in optimalization of the accounting processes
- Ad-hoc reporting, projects and analysis

**Who are we looking for?**:

- Finance education background with at least 5 years proven working experience
- Proficient user of MS office tools
- Good knowledge of accounting software
- SAP knowledge is a must
- Fluent in English and in French. Dutch is an asset
- Advanced accounting understanding and skills
- Autonomous, whilst capable of working in a team
- Analytical mind-set and result driven
- Being able to have a helicopter view while going into details on specific items
