For our External Communication department at our office in Brussels (near the train station and subway, see the map here) we’re looking for a **Social Media & External Affairs Assistant** (M/F/x).

As a Social Media & External Affairs Assistant, you provide essential support to the External Communication & External Affairs department (50/50). You contribute to the smooth operation of the team by performing various tasks, including preparing social media updates and managing the process around them, conducting analyses and assignments within a broader External Affairs context, and assisting with the preparation of management updates or briefings. In this role, you support Fluxys in building and maintaining positive relationships with external stakeholders.

**Your**
**responsibilities**:
- Social Media Support
- You manage the social media editorial calendar and coordinate weekly content creation and publication
- You monitor social media, analyze results, and report on KPIs in collaboration with the website colleague
- You create attractive visuals (using tools like Canva) together with the brand team
- You act as the point of contact for information and training on social media tools
- External Affairs Support
- You assist with managing the association portfolio by updating and analyzing data to identify strategic associations
- You help draft and streamline internal communication regarding Fluxys' positions
- You participate in coordination meetings and ensure the link between External Communications and External Affairs
- You conduct ad-hoc research and analysis, such as gathering information on stakeholders

- You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in communication or a related field
- You are ambitious, eager to learn, and interested in social media and external communications
- You have strong written and verbal communication skills
- You are able to work independently, but you are also a true team player
- You have analytical skills and can interpret and report data
- You have basic knowledge of tools like Canva or are willing to learn new platforms
- You speak Dutch or French and have a good knowledge of the other national language. You also have knowledge of English.
Additionally, this role requires:
- To be under 25 years old on the date of employment in accordance with the applicable regulations (Rosetta plan)
