IFF, a global leader in taste, scent, and nutrition, is looking for a Leveraged Large Project Manager to join our team in Brugge, Belgium. As a Large Project Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating engineering activities, planning and developing large capital projects (>10M$) primarily at our Brugge site (Belgium) and working from Ieper as a secondary location. You will work with site leadership, technology, maintenance, operations, engineering, safety, and quality to ensure successful implementation and status reporting of capital projects.

IFF Brugge, still known in the region as “the yeast factory”, produces enzymes that are used in beer, bread, animal feed, biofuels, têxtiles and detergents, among other things.

The development and production of enzymes is a high-tech and complex process. Over the years, IFF Brugge has developed specific knowledge and expertise in biotechnology.

The position is Leveraged meaning that middle/long-term the person would be flexible to lead a Large Project for any other location in the European Region.

**Responsibilities**:

- Coordinate engineering activities and plan and develop large capital projects (>10M$) primarily at the Brugge site
- Work with site leadership, technology, maintenance, operations, engineering, safety and quality to implement capital projects and provide status reporting
- Optimize utilization of site and external resources, ensuring proper deployment of design resources and compliance with corporate project systems and site work processes
- Work on several projects at the same time on at least 2 locations and build and lead diverse teams of engineers from different disciplines
- Formulate and execute strategies and coordinate with other managers
- Ensure compliance with Process Safety Management, Food Safety, Environmental Health & safety, Mechanical Integrity & Quality Assurance, Trade secrets principles, and other core value standards, processes, and procedures
- Analyze KPI's to ensure overall performance expectations for the site portfolio projects are met and communicate results to the steering team and appropriate functional leaders
- Champion the "no change" concept and ensure only changes consistent with the business and project objectives are approved
- Ensure the site is satisfied with well-executed projects aligned with their needs

**Job Requirements**:
**Qualifications**:

- Engineering degree preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of previous experience leading multiple large projects (>10M$)
- Project Management Professional certification delivered by Project Management Institute
- Working knowledge of different engineering disciplines and contracted services and how they relate to one another
- Excellent communication skills with the demonstrated ability to communicate with all levels within the site and business
- Ability to effectively delegate work and manage and communicate risk
- Interpersonal skills to lead through the use of a mix of Internal and External engineering
- Ability to make sound decisions quickly
- Fluency in Flemish and English

**Reporting structure**:

- Member of the IFF Operations-Global Engineering Team
- Reports directly to the Regional Engineering Manager EMEA
- Receives functional guidance from the Regional Engineering Manager
