We are on the lookout for a/an** **Application Cloud Architect** **to join our team for working with European Institutions based in** **Brussels** in a **Near side **position**.**

The European Commission, in collaboration with national competition authorities, actively enforces EU competition regulations to enhance the functioning of EU markets, benefiting consumers, businesses, and the European economy. The Directorate-General for Competition (DG COMP) holds the main responsibility for overseeing these enforcement efforts. Modern IT solutions are developed to optimize business processes, with the primary aim of increasing both efficiency and effectiveness

For this position you would be working with our client from the European institutions.

**Your role**
- Analysis of the integration of different information systems.
- Data analysis and data modelling.
- Coordination of the implementation of the technical architecture.
- Technical interface between the project leaders and the developers.
- Production of software architecture documents.
- Participation in technical working groups, progress meetings and meetings with the users.
- Assistance during relevant parts of testing, analysis, technical documentation, deployment, evaluation and reporting.
- Creating designs and blueprints of System Architecture.
- Review of the architecture of existing systems to migrate of existing system in the cloud.
- Design and development of architecture components and building blocks using cloud components.

**Who we think you are**:

- at least 10 years of specific expertise in JAVA (min. competence level 5)1
- at least 2 years of specific expertise in OWASP security framework on Java platform (min. competence level
- Good knowledge of architecture best practices and patterns;
- Good knowledge of microservices and architecture in the cloud;
- Good knowledge of modelling tools;
- Good knowledge of Enterprise Architecture;
- Good knowledge of Relational DBMS;
- Good knowledge of business process analysis;
- Knowledge of interoperability technology (web services, message-oriented middleware, serviceoriented bus, event architecture);
- Knowledge of Collaborative sites;
- Ability to give business and technical presentations
- Ability to cope with fast changing technologies used in DG TRADE.R4
- Very good communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences;
- Analysis and problem-solving skills;
- Capability to write clear and structured technical documents;
- Ability to participate in technical meetings and good communication skills.
