From our Business Unit **Fleet Support Services** we support clients with new construction projects on site worldwide.

We are currently looking for **a Coordinator Shiprepair** for repair projects in Belgium.
**The project**
Our client is a ship repair yard based in Belgium. With an international team of experienced employees, they work on projects in the field of ship maintenance, ship repair and installation of maritime structures. With their own dry dock and repair quay, they are able to take on work on a wide variety of ship types.
**Tasks & responsibilities**
In the role of **Coordinator Shiprepair** you are responsible for the operational coordination of the project at the yard:

- The biggest part of the job consists of on-the-field monitoring and organizing of the maintenance and refit work of ships on and just next to the dry dock at the yard;
- You monitor the progress and quality of the works in detail.
- You ensure a 'translation' of the project into effective planning/execution on the work floor.
- You take responsibility for the preparation and organization of the works and materials.
- With your experience and knowledge in the field, you can manage and adjust the team of mechanics and welders where necessary.
- You are the 1st point of contact for our own employees, subcontractors and for the customer.
- In addition to your managerial duties, you are not afraid to participate in the field yourself.
- You report to the technical manager.

**Functie eisen**:**Technical knowledge & soft skills**
- You have a proven track record in the field of operational support of repair / drydock projects;
- You have a mechanical education and good knowledge of ship systems;
- You are practical, patient and able to manage the big picture;
- You have an excellent knowledge of English (spoken and written) and preferably Dutch;
- You have quality and planning awareness;
- You live or are willing to relocate to Belgium.
