Job Summary

Looking to combine your Life Science background and social skills to find the best solutions for customers? Avantor is looking for a dedicated External Product Specialist to join our team in Belgium

In this job you assume the role of Life Sciences leader for our customers across Flanders throughout sales projects from A to Z: you establish the relationship and discover opportunities, demonstrate the value of your offer, negotiate commercial conditions and monitor the process. You focus on maintaining a long-term strategic partnership with end users while being able to generate short-term results.

We are offering a full time position where you will spend most of your time on customer visits. You’ll have the chance to work within a dynamic environment with the possibility to develop your personal and professional skills. Next to a base salary we also offer a permanent contract, a competitive benefits package including annual bonus, company car/allowance and much more.

What we’re looking for
- Education: You preferable have a Master’s degree within Life Sciences (including initial training in Cell Biology and Molecular Biology), PhD (Molecular Biology, Cellular, Neuroscience, ) is a plus.
- Experience: You preferably have prior sales experience in the laboratory. Knowledge of Life Science Products is essential
- Language skills: Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in Dutch and English are necessary
- Strong IT skills, including proficiency with the Microsoft Office package, reporting ability
- You are able to combine your technical expertise and commercial attitude.
- You are a proactive go-getter with good organizational skills and you’re driven by finding the right solutions when faced with challenges.
- Due to customer visits, a driving license is required.

- You promote and sell the solutions for which you are responsible.
- You manage, develop and retain a diverse clientele.
- You provide technical support for the realization of ongoing business of field and Inside Sales Account Managers (training, information, customer support, demonstrations, Training...)
- You analyze and share market trends and initiatives (customers, competitors, suppliers...)
- You analyze and forecast the purchasing plans of its customers.
- You maintain activity and opportunity data in the CRM.
