EIT RawMaterials, initiated and funded by the European Commission, is the largest and strongest consortium in the raw materials sector worldwide. Its vision is a European Union where raw materials are a major strength. EIT RawMaterials unites more than 100 partners - academic and research institutions as well as businesses - from more than 20 EU countries. They collaborate on finding new, innovative solutions to improve the raw materials sector all along its value chain - from extraction to processing, from recycling to reuse. EIT RawMaterials combines more than 700,000 employees and revenue in excess of EUR 200 billion. The activities of EIT RawMaterials are executed throughout the European raw materials ecosystem and are driven by six transnational Co-location Centres (CLCs), which are based in Espoo (FI), Leuven (BE), Luleå (SE), Metz (FR), Rome (IT), Wroclaw (PL), and headquarters located in Berlin. The EIT RawMaterials GmbH supports activities that strengthen innovation and entrepreneurship in the raw materials sector. The EIT RawMaterials GmbH team is assisting partners in developing and running projects, and in matchmaking and thematic events that will help our ecosystem to develop new ideas, new networks and new partnerships. As a Knowledge and Innovation Community (KIC) we partner closely with the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), a unique EU initiative that spurs innovation and entrepreneurship across Europe.
**Position**:
EIT RawMaterials GmbH is seeking a working student (f/m/d) to support the EU Affairs activities in Brussels.
The Intern / Working student (M/F/d) will:
- Actively support the EIT RawMaterials’ EU Affairs activities and monitor the EU policies and legislation relevant to the Raw Materials sector.
- Interact with stakeholders in the Brussels arena such as European Commission services, EU Parliament, EU Council and other significant private and public organizations.
- Supporting in drafting high-quality reports, presentations and policy analyses in the Raw Materials sector on short timelines.
- Support the engagement with other Knowledge and Innovation Communities and represent EIT Raw Materials in relevant working groups in Brussels.
- Attend relevant conferences, InfoDays and Brussels events relevant to the Raw Materials Community.

**Requirements**:
- is currently enrolled in a Bachelor's (year 2 or above) or Master's programme;
- has a good understanding and curiosity of EU policy-making and lobbying and is passionate about the Green Deal Challenges;
- is proficient in report drafting;
- has excellent written and spoken English ;
- has the ability to learn quickly about new trends and topics is willing to adapt to radically changing priorities;
- is proficient in Microsoft Office software;
- has excellent attention to detail and the ability to work in an international, fast-paced environment;
- has excellent planning and organisational skills.
**Other information**:
The Intern / Working student (M/F/d) will be employed by EIT RawMaterials and based in Brussels, Belgium.
Please note that only students who are enrolled at a university for the complete duration of employment will be considered for this job as working students. To gain practical experience as an intern, you should either be enrolled at a university or be in the gap year between a bachelor's and a Master's.
