For the Business Unit **Renewable Energy** (RES),** **we are looking for a **Technology Expert Wind Onshore** **to provide expertise and support to the Belgian ENGIE Wind Onshore team.

- A basic salary depending on your technical knowledge and experience that is indexed annually

**YOUR CHALLENGE as Technology Expert Wind Onshore**:

- In this role, your goal is to build solid **technical expertise** around wind technology and be **the point of contact **as an expert within our team, the ENGIE group (Tractebel, Laborelec, R-GBU, operational entities,...) and outside (interest organization, expert groups,...)
- You do this by:

- Monitoring the **performance** of the fleet in the short and long term.
- For performance problems or complex technical failures, seeking **concrete solutions**.
- Support the team with your technical and operational knowledge around control and management systems (ice, shadow flicker, noise, wildlife).
- **Provide technical advice** on maintenance issues and risk assessment.
- **Define improvement proposals and change projects** to create value according to the evolution of technology, market or legislative framework.
- Develop tools, processes, best practices and methodologies to support the daily O&M team in its operations. (e.g., condition monitoring systems and predictive systems)
- Thus, your ultimate goal is to work with the Operations & Performance Manager and team to **maximize** the **production** and **availability** of the Belgian **renewable** **fleet** and optimize the **O&M costs**.

**YOUR PROFILE as a Technology Expert Wind Onshore**:

- You have a **Master's or Bachelor's degree in elektromechanics or electricity **with min. 5 years of relevant experience in operations and maintenance of electrical prpoduction equipment.
- You have a **thorough technical knowledge** in various fields (rotating machinery, electricity, (power) electronics and I&C).
- You are able to **evaluate** complex technical **problems**, review vendor proposals and direct the necessary parties toward a concrete solution.
- You are **a strong communicator**, enjoy making contacts, are fluent in English and have a professional command of Dutch and French.
- You have **no fear of heights** and are in good physical condition.
- You have a strong safety and environmental awareness. You always take responsibility for the health and safety of yourself and your colleagues
