In order to consolidate, organise and develop our activities in the wind energy sector, we are looking for a Senior Wind Expert.

Your main responsibilities will be carrying out **wind resource assessment and long-term energy yield assessment studies** to assess the potential production/revenues of wind farm projects under development or reaching Financial Close.

As a Senior Wind Expert you will act both as a senior consultant and a senior wind analyst.

As a senior consultant you will report to the team leader of our Resource Assessment Team and work closely with all the wind experts. Your tasks will consist of:

- Technical guidance of junior wind analysts
- Contributing to improvement in methodologies and quality control procedures
- Liaising with customers in technical aspects and contributing to business development activities
- Representing 3E at international seminars and conferences

As a senior wind analyst you will:

- Design and follow up on meteorological campaigns (mast, Lidar, etc.)
- Carry out LTYA studies based on WASP and CFD
- Carry out site suitability assessment studies according to IEC
- Design and optimize wind turbine layouts

We are looking for someone **focused and very organised**, a **team player** ready to support his/her colleagues both in execution and in terms of technical guidance. Dedicated to problem solving and with a **strong work ethic**, also with abilities for conflict resolution with **innovative thinking**.
- Master Degree in Engineering, or Environmental Sciences, Atmospheric Science, Meteorology, Mathematics, Physics or similar field of study
- **At least 4-5 years of experience on wind resource assessment and LTYA's**:

- With a critical mindset
- Experience with data analysis techniques
- Proficiency with **WaSP, Windpro, WAsP Engneering** and a **CFD software** (preferably MeteoDyn WT)
- Strong **statistical analysis skills**:

- Very good **organizational skills**, able to manage multiple jobs simultaneously, on time, budget and quality
- Strong overall **computer skills** and ability to learn multiple software tools;
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word/Excel);
- Reading, writing and speaking fluently in **English**:

- **Drivers license B**

Bonus points for:

- Mesoscale modelling (e.g. WRF)
- Experienced in technical guidance of other wind analysts
- Programming skills with Python, VBA
- Wind Farm Assessment Tool
- French, Dutch, Spanish
