**Responsibilities**:
- Is responsible for cleaning and maintaining of the common areas, the private rooms and guest rooms of the residence daily.
- Duties include making beds, cleaning and dusting all rooms, hallways, powder rooms and bathrooms.
- Prepares guest rooms when guests are expected; have towels, sleepers, complementary toiletries ready, etc.
- Check daily the towels/soap of the toilets.
- Doing laundry and ironing for the Family and the entire household including event laundry on a daily/weekly basis and when necessary. It includes clothes of the family, beddings (sheets...), towels, tablecloths, tablemats, napkins, Family and Chef's kitchen linen, Chef's uniforms.
- Periodically washes windows and cleans out closets.
- Keep stock of washing and cleaning products, toilet paper, tissues, and all necessary items the house requires. Make shopping list for the Residence Assistant on time accordingly.
- Assists with cleaning, dusting of official rooms, mainly the fragile parts such as art, china, mirrors, paintings, antiques, etc.
- Consults daily with the Residence Assistant, reporting on possible maintenance and repair needs especially in the private and guest rooms.
- On occasion assists in official events with the cloakroom by taking coats/umbrellas/bags at the front door; washing dishes and glasses in the pantry; basic kitchen help for the Chef and assisting in serving guests as a back-up.
- Assist the other staff members with other duties when required, takes initiative to carry out tasks.
- On any given occasion, may have to assist working events in other Official Residences or at the Embassy.
- Anticipates needs and problems before they arise.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
**Description du profil
**Qualifications Required for Effective Performance
- Education: Lower degree in secondary school, professional job-related vocational training desired.
- We are looking for someone that has minimum 2-3-year experience as a Housekeeper in a similar position or in a well-recognized hotel.
- You need a basic working knowledge of English, Dutch or French desirable.
- It is important to be tactful and discrete. Good team spirit is part of the job.
- Abilities and Skills: Must be knowledgeable in cleaning as well as in the use the of cleaning supplies and equipment.
