To support thegrowth, we are looking for an IT Software tester - IT Software TestingDepartment (M/F) for our headquarters in Roeselare.
**Your new role**
- Sets up test scenarios and performs software testing,
- Sets up training sessions for end users and provides support,
- Takes care ofsoftware installations,
Each assignment must be carried out:
- In closecooperation with the end users and other IT staff involved (internal andexternal),
- With respect to existing procedures (documentation, communication, etc.),
- With considerationof budgetary constraints.
Main tasks
- Testing thesoftware
- Reads the RFEs,checks if they meet the needs of the users, studies various functionals solutions together with colleagues from the relevant domains and preparesscripts in order to retrieve the necessary data in the database necessary torun the test scenarios
- Performsintegration and regression tests on the delivered new developments. Ifnecessary, moves to external software suppliers to perforM/Follow up on testsfor delivery and communicate the quality evolution to the IT department& third parties
- Investigates andanalyses bugs, this requires basic knowledge of database structure as well astechnical database tools in addition to functional knowledge
- Organises testsessions with end users of internal & external services
- Follows up on bugreports, sets priorities in consultation with the IT coordinator, taking intoaccount planned P-weekends
- If necessary,provides additional explanations on the bug reports to the analysts/developers(both internal and external), notifies the user of new deliveries in PRD andexplains the novelties/adaptations
- Sets up adequatetraining and provides training to end users in both national languages
- Prepares usermanuals in both national languages
- Participates inthe realization phase during scheduled P-weekends.
- Production support
- Researches andanalyses user-reported functional errors of internal & external services,prepares documented bug reports if necessary, or proposes solutions/extensionsto the IT coordinator in existing programmes/analysis
- Follows up bugreports from batch chains
- Follows upprojects from the detail analysis and/or development phase as well as theimplementation, delivery, putting into production of the functional analysis inconsultation with his responsible
- SoftwareInstallation Desk
- Ensures theadministration of the delivered bugs
Follows up thestatus of the bugs on the basis of prepared lists
- Arranges theimplementation of hotfixes in consultation with the (internal/external) partydelivering the hotfix
Ensures thathotfixes are ready for installation in the various environments
- Helps determinewhether or not the hotfix can be installed in a particular environment
- Continuous batchmonitoring
- Follows up thevarious batch chains and procedures in the test environments and pays thenecessary attention to performance, quality, availability of the environment
- Evaluates theexecution of the different batch chains (quality control) and investigates anyerrors, possibly with the assistance of other IT colleagues
**Your profile**
- You have a Masterof Science or Bachelor's degree with an affinity towards IT or equivalent throughexperience
- You have at least2 years of relevant experience in an IT organization with internal and externalcustomers
- You quicklyunderstand how business processes and IT processes work
- You have a goodknowledge of mortgage lending processes, knowledge of processes for consumerloans or professional loans are an important asset.
- You haveanalytical skills, good communication skills and a desire to learn continuously
- You are a goodlistener
- You can workindependently and autonomously
- You are creativeand critical
- You can expressyourself fluently in Dutch and French. A good knowledge of English is an asset
- You are familiarwith MS Office tools
- Knowledge of SQLscripting is an asset
