We are excited to be searching for a proactive and pragmatic Senior Manager, International Partnerships and Fundraising with experience in Value chain sustainability to join our team, and we hope it’s you

**Your role.**:
As The Senior International Partnerships and Fundraising manager, you will lead on IDH’s European Union (EU) engagement strategy and guide the implementation, especially in Brussels. You will guide the process of positioning IDH as thought leader and strategic partner for the EU by acting as a coach and knowledge partner for our colleagues around the world.

You will be tasked with analysing and monitoring all major EU legislative development relevant to IDH around sustainable value chains. Making sure that the relevant information reaches the key policy makers by engaging in Brussels and coaching colleagues around the world to ensure a streamlined messaging towards EU delegations and relevant stakeholders around EU policy topics.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead, coordinate, monitor, analyse, and report on overall EU engagement strategy to the wider IDH organisation and relevant (donor) stakeholders.
- Position IDH as thought leader and solution provider in Brussels in close collaboration with the technical experts in the IDH Business Units and Country Offices.
- Ensure proactive relationship building with the relevant Directorates General of the EU Commission (DG INTPA, DG ENVI, DG TRADE,)
- Plan and coordinate public outreach, events, conferences and any forum beneficial to increase the visibility of IDH in Brussels.
- Contribute to IDH publications on EU related legislation and how it impacts companies and producing countries as well as helping proposal writing for other country offices funding proposals to the EU.
- Analyse and where relevant initiate EU Funding related assessments or accreditations.
- Contribute to the successful formulation of and delivery on the fundraising strategy for IDH’s next strategy and funding cycle.
- Proactively manage 1 or 2 donor key accounts and contribute to the formulation and implementation of the IDH fundraising strategy.

**What you bring.**:

- Thinking at master’s degree level with 15+ years of relevant experience with a proven track record in effective, stakeholder management and successful fundraising.
- An excellent understanding of EU, international policy and development context, sustainability challenges for private sector and other stakeholders working on sustainable trade and agricultural commodities.
- Ability to work with governments, private sector foundations and other donors on international development and sustainable trade and make the link between the IDH offering and the needs of our partners and funders worldwide.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbally.
- Fluent in English. Professional knowledge of other languages (especially French or Dutch) is a plus.
- Proven ability to establish strong relationships and build rapport with stakeholders and clients, both externally and internally.
- With an existing network in the Brussels EU environment, enabling a quick dive into the role while having an active network in and solid understanding of the Belgian government is a plus.

- A salary range between EUR 4,884 and 6,105 per month (based on a 40-hour work week), depending on your experience and competences.
- A full-time (40 hours) indefinite contract
- An indefinite employment contract.
