**Bi Functional analist**
- Functietitel: Functioneel analist BI
- Team: BI & Data Team
- Reports to: Service Delivery Manager BI&Data
- We are currently looking for a functional analyst to support our BI team.

**Purpose**:

- The purpose of the position is to add value to the setup of the DWH Domain Finance, by providing insights into processes and business results through data.
- You provide the business with their information needs. You analyse, design, define and record the functional requirements and wishes for the finance department. To succeed in this role, you should have a combination of technical and financial skills.
- You have an analytical way of thinking (technical and financial) and you are able to explain difficult concepts to non-technical users and financial people.

**Responsibilities**:

- As a BI functional analyst you provide the business with their information needs. You gather the requirements, analyse, design, refine, record and elaborate the functional requirements and wishes.
- You provide analysis documentations, conduct the meetings and provide presentations to share ideas and findings back to business and stakeholders.
- You are able to structure the requirement process.
- You ensure that the business wishes / requirements and the source data are translated into clear user stories for the data-engineers. (frontend & backend), you know how to divide this into logical parts with the aim of quickly delivering added value to the business.
- You will help that the delivered data products meet the quality requirements, together with the team.
- You will be the main contact for business stakeholders, building a bridge between finance and the data-team. You will provide support to the users during user acceptance testing.

**Education level**:

- Higher education (TEW, HI, Statistics, IT )
- Additional Education / Trainings:

- Thorough knowledge of PowerBI and / or other data visualization tools for analysis purposes
- Thorough knowledge of SQL scripting, BI & datamodeling methodologies
- Thorough knowledge of Excel, Visio, other office tools, Adonis (BPMN2)
- Thorough knowledge of all kinds of statistical functions & visualizations (graphs, etc.)

**Experience & Competencies**:

- Thorough knowledge of the business processes and knows the systems that support the business processes.
- Relevant work experience with the independent analysis, description and support of business / information processes within finance.
- A deep understanding of numbers, calculations, and statistics is essential in this field.
- You are analytical and enjoy diving into financial and accounting issues.
- The following terms have no secrets for you; budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, liquidity and working capital etc...
- Specific Competencies in the role:
