In the light of our new Data Management Platform (DMP), we are looking for a Java developer to Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) data from our data integration layer (Silver) to our presentation layer (Gold). The transform/organize will be done in Spark (coded in Java), data stored in S3 buckets and the solution being deployed using Kubernetes/OpenShift containers.
**Hybrid role: La Hulpe. Visiting the office in La Hulpe 2 times per week.**
**Responsibilities**:
- Working with Java, Apache Spark, Amazon S3, Kubernetes/OpenShift containers
- Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) data from the data integration layer (Silver) to the presentation layer (Gold)
- Conduct software analysis
- Adhering to high quality standards such as high code coverage.
**Requirements**:
- Experienced in Java development (4-5+ years)
- Experience with Apache Spark (6+ years)
- Experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift (1-3 years)
- Experience with Amazon S3 (1-3 years)
- Experience with Datawarehousing, data management
- High level of problem-solving skills
- Ready to collaborate with the team and be a team player
- Ability to manage work by setting your own goals, prioritizing and executing them, and taking ownership of tasks.
