**Responsibilities**:
1. **Academic Guidance**:
- Provide expert guidance on the selection of research topics, methodologies, and theoretical frameworks.
- Assist students in developing a comprehensive and coherent research plan aligned with their academic and career goals.
- Review and evaluate research proposals, drafts, and other academic work, offering constructive feedback to enhance quality.
2. **Mentorship and Professional Development**:
- Foster a supportive and inclusive academic environment conducive to the intellectual growth and development of students.
- Mentor students in developing effective communication and presentation skills, encouraging participation in conferences and seminars.
- Facilitate networking opportunities with peers, researchers, and professionals in the mathematical community.
3. **Research Collaboration**:
- Collaborate with doctoral students on research projects, promoting interdisciplinary collaboration where applicable.
- Encourage publication in reputable journals and conferences, assisting with the submission process and providing guidance on improving research quality.
4. **Administrative Duties**:
- Collaborate with departmental faculty and administrators to enhance the overall quality of the mathematics / computer science PhD program.
- Participate in relevant departmental and institutional committees and meetings.
**Qualifications**:
1. **Education**:
- A doctoral degree in mathematics, computer science, machine learning, or a closely related field.
2. **Experience**:
- Substantial experience in mentoring and advising PhD students.
- A strong record of research and publications in reputable journals.
- Knowledge of complex analysis, L-functions, prime number theory, computational topology, statistics, quantum mechanics, and/or machine learning
3. **Skills**:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students to excel in their academic and research pursuits.
- Strong organizational and administrative abilities.
- Capable of interpreting complex code within the R programming language

**Job Type**: Part-time
Pay: €25,000.00 - €40,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 20 per week
