**Position summary**
We are looking for a **Gut Microbiome Scientist** with expertise in analysing and interpreting complex gut microbiome datasets (metabolomics, metagenomics,) as well as has an **excellent** **proficiency in using statistical analysis software (R)**.
Key aspects of the job will involve the **processing **and **interpretation** of datasets generated with the **novel** **SIFR® technology** for food tech and biotech companies in the microbiome space**.**
Your **key responsibilities** will be to:
- Effectively **perform analysis of complex datasets**
- Efficiently **articulate a concise message from** **complex datasets** in a clear manner
- **Assist with writing scientific reports** (internal, external, and peer-reviewed A1 publications)
You will report to our Lead Scientist and will closely collaborate with our CSO and Gut Microbiome Scientist as part of the scientific team.

**Experience and education requirements**
**Experience**
- **PhD in biological sciences**:bioscience engineering, biomedical sciences, biology, chemistry, biochemistry, pharmacology
- Gut microbiome is a strong plus
- **Strong scientific publication track record**
- **Proficiency with R is a must**
- Able to autonomously execute and improve upon pre-existing scripts
- **English** mastery, Dutch proficiency is a plus

- **Expertise related to the gut (microbiota)**
- Prior **industry experience**
- Proficiency in other programming languages (such as Python) is a plus
