Public Buyer

As a Public Buyer, your role is central to managing the full lifecycle of procurement processes in line with Public Procurement Legislation. You will serve as the primary advisor for internal stakeholders, offering expert guidance on supplier selection, managing supplier relationships, resolving contract-related issues, and ensuring adherence to legal and procedural requirements.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Collaborate with internal stakeholders** to analyze their needs and translate them into detailed specifications, using input from end users.
- **Develop selection and award criteria** and contribute technical expertise to the procurement process.
- **Assess supplier proposals** in coordination with internal teams to identify the best-fit solutions.
- **Negotiate favourable terms and conditions** with suppliers, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- **Prepare award reports**, working closely with internal teams to formalize recommendation.

Location: Flemish Region, Belgium
- A master’s degree in a commercial or technical discipline, or a bachelor’s degree complemented by strong technical or commercial procurement experience.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in category procurement, with a specific focus on public procurement.
- A results-driven mindset, embodying our ethos of “under promise and overdeliver.”
- Strong interpersonal skills to balance diplomacy with assertiveness.
- Technical knowledge or familiarity with contracting and the semiconductor industry is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in English and Dutch is essential.
