**Verleg grenzen als Data Platform Software Developer**:
In UZ Leuven bundelen dagelijks bijna 10.000 gedreven medewerkers hun expertise om kwalitatieve patiëntenzorg aan te bieden. Binnen UZ Leuven is IT van strategisch belang. Wij zijn sterk geïnformatiseerd voor zowel administratieve als medische toepassingen.

Ons medisch dossier bevat alle data die noodzakelijk zijn voor de behandeling en de opvolging van de patiënt. Als universitair ziekenhuis werken wij ook dagdagelijks aan het verbeteren van de behandelingsmogelijkheden voor tal van ziekten. Hiervoor moeten grote hoeveelheden data verwerkt worden.

Om deze dataverwerking verder te optimaliseren, wordt in UZ Leuven binnen de dienst IT een Data Ontsluitings Platform (DOP) opgezet. Op dit platform wordt al onze klinische (KWS) en operationele data samengebracht en bieden we onderzoekers rapporten en/of tools aan om hun data verder te verwerken op een beveiligde en privacy-respecterende manier.

Het doel is om de data in een vorm aan te bieden waar de onderzoekers zelf mee kunnen verder werken door middel van secure tools die door IT opgezet en beheerd worden. Ook toegangscontrole en -beheer zullen op dit platform geregeld en afgedwongen worden. Op termijn zullen ook de AI tools rechtstreeks van dit platform gebruik maken.

Daarnaast mikken we er op om via het DOP op een beveiligde en gestandaardiseerde manier (FHIR, SNOMED CT,...) met externe partners (research centra, Belgische en Europese registers,...) klinische data te kunnen uitwisselen.

We werken dit uit met cloud technologie van Google: BigQuery, Dataform, Looker Modeling Language, Jupyter notebooks,... aangevuld met Python ontwikkeling.

Het betreft een voltijds contract van onbepaalde duur.

**Hoe verleg je grenzen?**:

- Je taak bestaat erin dit platform mee op te zetten en te beheren.
- Data opladen en ontsluiten in modellen die geschikt zijn voor onderzoekers.
- Mee helpen bouwen aan verschillende lagen van datamodellen waarbij steeds meer interpretatie van de data gebeurt ifv een bepaalde vraagstelling.
- Opzetten van nodige security architectuur en data anonymisatie.
- Uitvoeren van performantie analyse en performantie optimalisatie.
- Selecteren en beheren van tools die we aanbieden aan de onderzoekers om de data verder te verwerken.
- Daarnaast verzorg je mee de projectplanning. Je hebt een brugfunctie tussen onze interne gebruikers en IT.

**Wat heb je daarvoor nodig?**:

- Je beschikt over een masterdiploma in de IT of gelijkwaardig door ervaring.
- Je hebt een grondige interesse en/of expertise in één of meerdere van de beschreven functionele domeinen.
- Je kan software engineering principes toepassen op datamodellen.
- Je kan data pipelines opzetten op een efficiënte, schaalbare en onderhoudbare manier.
- Je werkt graag samen in een multidisciplinair team waar ook artsen, clinical support managers, business managers deel van uitmaken.
- Je hebt ervaring met het opstellen en opvolgen van projecten en planningen.
- Kennis van medische standaarden is een plus.
- Je hebt een passie voor de gezondheidszorg en het helpen verbeteren van diagnostiek en behandeling: je maakt het leven makkelijker voor de onderzoekers en draagt zo bij tot betere geneeskunde.
