We are on the lookout for a/an Test automation specialist to join our team for working with European Institutions based in Brussels in an near site position.

For this position you would be working with our client from the European institutions.
DG DIGIT.A4, in collaboration with other Commission services and stakeholders, provides digital solutions to support administrative processes and implement EU policies, contributing to the Commission's Digital Transformation. They build, operate, and support reusable solutions, developed either internally or based on open-source software, tailored to the needs of the European Commission. These solutions are promoted for use within DIGIT and across the Commission. Additionally, DG DIGIT.A4 develops systems for audit, financial fraud detection, and managing EU Structural funds.
A notable tool provided is Corporate Arachne, a risk-scoring IT tool for data mining and enrichment, designed to help managing authorities and paying agencies in Member States prevent and detect errors, irregularities, and potential fraud in EU Structural funds projects. Assignments may change over time based on portfolio, project, or service needs. Only CVs of EU citizens are accepted due to the need for access to sensitive, non-classified information.

- Definition of test plans and test cases.
- Construction of test scenarios and scripts.
- Execution of tests.
- Preparation and maintenance of test data.
- Test reporting.
- Automated testing
- Enable the transition to an automated approach.
- Evaluate tools and technology for automation best fit to the project within the DevSecOps approach.
- Create an approach and methodology for building a test automation architecture.
- Design, prepare and monitor automated tests.
- Design and develop (new or modified) test automation solutions that meet the business needs.
- Create automated test reporting and metrics collection.
- Support business stakeholders during acceptance testing.

Who we think you are
- Experience in manual testing.
- Experience in testing automation
- Experience in test data preparation, preferably with SQL databases.
- Good knowledge of testing technologies, tools, frameworks and techniques, in particular that can be used in cloud environments.
- Knowledge of data-driven solutions testing (data warehouse, data lakes, data mining, etc.)
- Knowledge of a Test Management Tool.
- Knowledge of a Defect Tracking tool, in particular JIRA.
- Knowledge of relational database management systems such as MS SQL, Oracle.
- Knowledge of Elasticsearch, Spark, Machine Learning, Deep Learning and Artificial Intelligence technologies would be an asset
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good redaction skills, experience in preparation of written reports.
- Capability of integration in an international/multi
- cultural environment, rapid self-starting capability and experience in working in team
- Ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings, ease of communication.
- Analysis and problem solving skills.
- Capability to write clear and structured documents.
- Ability to understand, speak and write French (B1/B2).
