We are looking for passionate and high skilled **Legal & Regulatory Compliance Associate** passionate about FinTechs, Digital Payments and Innovations to join our Viva Wallet team in the **Belgian Hub**.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**More specifically, as a Regional Legal & Regulatory Compliance Associate you will**:

- Be responsible for the provision of legal support and advice with respect to the operational and regulatory compliance matters applicable in the assigned geographical territory.
- Continuous monitoring & mapping of the regulatory developments.
- Development of regulatory compliance roadmaps and training of the involved personnel.
- As part of the Group’s Annual Compliance Pan, conduct compliance audits to ensure that internal processes & policies are followed.
- Liaise with local external legal advisers.
- Conduct risk assessment within the assigned local territory as regards compliance & legal risks.
- Provides guidance & assistance to the business for the proper localization of products/services, internal policies and terms of use.
- In close cooperation with the Group’s Regional Head of Regulatory Compliance, prepares and coordinates regulatory reports submission to the local regulatory authorities.
- Organize and coordinate the Legal & Compliance department files, cases and issues; keep up with deadlines; documenting actions and generating reports to the Group Legal & Compliance Director and the Country Manager.

**Requirements**:
**To be considered you should have**:

- Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) and an LL.M in commercial law related areas (preferably in Banking & Finance).
- Deep knowledge of financial services regulations ideally payments’ regulations.
- Solid working experience as a lawyer in the Payments sector or alternatively in a premier law firm specialized in banking/payments and regulatory related matters.
- Demonstrable experience in commercial and banking law, especially in regulatory related issues (e.g. PSD2, Compliance Risk Management, etc.). Previous experience in European regulatory compliance projects is considered a strong plus.
- Experience in dealing with complex legal & regulatory compliance issues with significant financial impact.
- The ability to build relationships with co-workers across Europe and to work well both independently and in a team environment, including with senior management.
- Fluency in English & French, additional European languages would be considered a strong plus.
