**Senior Associate Scientist - **Global Vivarium Operations & Management Specialist**:
**Reports to**:Global Associate Director, Global Vivarium Operations and Business Management**

**Location**:Beerse, Belgium**

**Role Summary**:
The Global Vivarium Operations & Management Specialist will contribute to key aspects related to global vivarium activities, including supporting the execution of global In Vivo Sciences (IVS) Data Sciences strategy for Janssen’s internal vivaria. This individual provides support and expertise with optimization and harmonization efforts across multiple sites including Spring House PA, La Jolla CA, South San Francisco, CA, and Beerse, Belgium.

**Essential Responsibilities**:

- Work on high-visibility projects supporting the In Vivo Sciences (IVS) Global Operations and Management IT and paperless vivarium strategy.
- Participate in customer engagement, product definition, define success metrics and workstream refinement products
- Conduct end-to-end analysis that includes data gathering and requirements specification, processing, analysis, and effectively communicate findings and provide key insights/recommendations to various functional leads
- Directly participates and may lead the planning, delivery and monitoring of projects or developing new processes, techniques, systems or tasks
- Create and develop SharePoint 365 Team/Teams sites; maintain permission groups and security; customize web-part pages (classic view) and site layout using CSS and custom HTML.
- Integrate Teams, Office 365, Power Automate and SharePoint to streamline business process and hand-offs, and to help aggregate and analyze business data
- Assist with the coordination and execution of feasibility pilots utilizing new technologies
- Collaborates effectively with fellow project members following priorities, checkpoints and timelines in support of objectives
- Evaluate new system potential and compatibility with existing programs
- Improving existing programs by evaluating objectives and specifications, reviewing proposed changes, and making recommendations
- Observing user feedback to recommend improvements to existing software products
- Designing flowcharts to guide detailed user requirement gathering and workflow enhancements
- Compiling and assessing user feedback to improve software performance
- Preparing reference material for end users by drafting operation instructions
- Collect metrics, provide reporting and analysis for IVS scientific activities, including identifying key performance indicators.
- Participate on various local and global committees, influence with partners to achieve desired outcomes and shared vision.

- Stay ahead of current trends and practices in field of expertise by completing continuing education

**Qualifications**:
**Educational Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a quantitative discipline (bioinformatics, computational biology, statistics, chemical or biological and Systems Engineering or equivalent.
- Comfortable with quantitative analysis, statistical techniques, data mining
- Expertise with MS platforms and aplications such as Power BI, Power Apps and Power Automate to help aggregate and analyze business data.
- Laboratory animal certification is preferred
- The overall background of experience and education should be sufficient to allow performance of the job requirements listed.
