**Exciting Career Opportunity for Experienced Marine Technicians / Senior Mechanical Maintenance**
Position**:Senior Marine Technician / Boat Maintenance**
Location: Nieuwpoort, Belgium
**At a glance**
This is an excellent opportunity for a strong experienced mechanic/technician to join the Le Boat team where you will play a key role in preparing the boat yard for arriving customers for the season.
You are proficient in all operations and maintenance of the boats including electrical and mechanical systems and performing boater training with customers prior to clients leaving on their charter.
**What you will be doing**
- Conducting advanced maintenance and repairs on our fleet of fiberglass boats.
- Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical components, and more.
- Providing mentorship and guidance to junior technicians, sharing your knowledge and expertise.
- Collaborating with the Head Technician and Base Manager to ensure efficient operation and timely completion of tasks.
- Participating in off-site repairs and emergency call-outs as needed
**What we are looking for**:
**Skills, experience, knowledge, qualifications, and training**
- Proven experience in boat maintenance, with a strong background in marine systems and equipment.
- Comprehensive understanding of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical components, and other technical systems.
- Leadership abilities and a passion for mentoring junior technicians.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license and full eligibility to work in Belgium.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Available for working at Saturdays during the season (April - October)
**Advantagous**:
- Certificate from a marine college or equivalent (an advantage).
- A passion for boating and relevant experience.
- Other language skills as Dutch, German, French would be desirable.
- Fluency any of the following languages would be a bonus: Czech, Hungarian, Croatian, Serbian, Polish, Romanian, Bulgarian, Slovak, Greek, Lithuanian, Latvian, Estonian, Slovenian, Serbo-Croatian, Spanish or Portuguese.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent contract
Pay: €20,00 - €22,50 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
