Junior Accountant

Based in Overijse (Belgium)

You participate actively in the follow-up and control of accounting activities (Account payable (AP) & General Ledger (GL)), in the monthly closure process and in the according reportings. You ensure the follow-up, corrections and control on bookings done by the Shared Service Center (SSC).

**What will be your responsibilities?**
- AP masterdata analysis & problem solving
- Control of AP invoices booked by the SSC
- 1st line assistance to SSC with questions on GL bookings
- Control AP reconciliation
- Participate actively, review & ensure monthly closures
- Perform monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
- Review Profit&Lost (P&L) accounts and analyze variances versus budget/forecast
- Prepare accruals at month-end to ensure a correct reporting
- Ensure group/local (internal & external) rules & laws are respected in terms of accounting
- As local entity accounting representative, liaise with SSC whenever needed
- Assist on reporting tasks (audit, legal & ad-hoc) (predefined list of reporting)

**Who are we looking for?**
- You have at least a bachelor degree in accountancy with 1 to 2 years of experience
- You speak and write French with a good level of English
- You have knowledge of SAP and Excel
- You are service-oriented, have good communication skills, are rigorous and well-organized
- You can work accurately and under pressure
- You have excellent analytical skills
- You like working in a team
