For the Gas Flow Operations Department at our headquarters in Brussels (near the train station and subway, see the map here) we’re looking for a Nomination Agent (M/F/x).

The Operations Centre in Brussels is to natural gas transmission what control towers are to an airport. Our dispatchers at the Centre control and monitor all gas flows on the Fluxys grid 24 hours a day.

**Job**
**purpose**:
As a Nomination Agent, you will be in charge of the commercial interface with the operational departments of our clients and other transporters. A large part of your role will involve dealing with IT-related tasks. You will also prepare gas consumption forecasts for Belgium. Lastly, you will actively collaborate on the energy and climate transition by preparing operations for the future transport of hydrogen and CO2 in the Fluxys grid.

**Job**
**responsibilities**:

- After an intensive training period combining both theory and practice, you will join a dynamic team responsible for coordinating and managing gas transport and transmission throughout Belgium
- You will receive, analyse and approve our clients' transmission requests
- You will verify whether statistical data are realistic and reasonable, taking into account contractual transmission capacities. You will flag up any inaccurate data to the partners concerned, who mainly operate from abroad
- You will check that transmission requests align with the volumes supplied at Belgium's borders and will remain in constant contact with transmission system operators in neighbouring countries to this end
- You will work closely with the other members of the control room team, who will use your work as a basis for managing the physical transport of gas. Together with the team, you will check that all requests can be satisfied, that gas is physically available and whether there has been any unexpected offtake from or injection into the natural gas network
- You will estimate the daily gas consumption of all Belgian end customers (intermunicipal companies, power plants and industrial customers), using as a basis gas transmission requests and weather forecasts
