FUNCTION
As Business Controller, you are responsible for reporting and managing key business indicators, for overseeing the company's business operations. Your duties are to ensure that the business operates effectively and efficiently through month-end and statutory reporting/dashboards, budgeting and forecasting, all of which help the company to stay on track and achieve its goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES
**Principal accountabilities for this function are**:
Designing, developing and implementing analytical dashboards, data analyses, data collection systems and other strategies that will improve the daily operational management and the follow-up of the SLA
Interpreting data, analyzing results based on SLA of the company
Challenge, manage and discuss results with managers on a monthly basis
Enable to challenge and confront the data received with each owner of the data
Close follow-up of contract/projects performance and give support managers to improve it
Challenge the Order Intake and periodically review Final Estimate on projects
Coordinate regularly with the every departments within the company
Reporting on business processes to management
Carrying out commercial analyses and strategic scenario analyses
Understanding the market, the business is in and providing advice to the stakeholders
Translating management's objectives into measurable key performance indicators
Assisting in developing and implementing business decision-making models
Analyzing business data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
Communicating with top management to provide insights and recommendations on business operations
Supporting businesses units with insights to make informed decisions to achieve a company's objectives
Master's degree within finance, economics, business or similar and at least 5 years of work experience
Proven working experience as a Business Controller or Business Analyst or Audit Controlling
Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages, databases, dashboards,...
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
Excellent analytical, critical & numerical skills
Ability to challenge the people in the business
Expert level in Excel
Relevant experience in ERP, affinity with the following systems/tools is an asset: JIRA, Business Central and Confluence
Ability to handle multiple priorities at once with minimum supervision
Learning agility; ability to quickly gain knowledge of organizational operations, procedures, and staff
Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data
Process oriented, adaptable, reliable, flexible and approachable.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong customer service focus. Fluent in French & Dutch - English is an asset
Experience in public sector and telecommunications industry is a strong plus
Autonomous, self-motivated, engaged and organized, ready to take ownership, set priorities, work towards deliverables and achieve results;
Energetic, enthusiast and curious, takes initiatives, identifies opportunities, proposes out-ofthe-box solutions and is flexible in quickly adapting to change
Team player, collaborates well with people from various backgrounds and develops solid relationships;
