The Finance Manager, EMEA is responsible for serving as the main point of contact for all accounting and finance activities for multiple lines of business within the EMEA region. In this role, the Finance Manager, EMEA serves as the local business partner to local business leaders to ensure accurate, timely production of critical financial records and reporting.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to)
- Facilitate integration and accounting of newly acquired entities with a multi-national organization
- Has an understanding of the EU legal and financial reporting requirements (France, Belgium, Germany, Netherlands)
- Able to serve as European “business manager” to multiple sites’ operations and reporting lines
- Liaise with Cryoport Systems Assistant Controller and financial leadership at Cryoport Systems in the US
- Partner with local operational leadership to support public company reporting and liaison with HQ in US on regular basis
- Maintain effective internal controls over financial reporting (SOX) including appropriate supporting documentation
COMPETENCIES & PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
- Must possess strong communication skills (oral and written)
- Strong collaborative skills
- Must be detail oriented
- Strong creative problem-solving skills and ability to work without an established framework
- Multi-currency consolidation and international accounting experience
- Strong financial ERP systems experience, especially systems implementation. (Netsuite experience preferred)
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities across multiple sites and countries in a dynamic environment
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to speak fluent English, French; fluency in German and Dutch a plus
- Minimum 5 years experience in management of accounting/financial reporting
