We are hiring a Application Architect for our prestigious partner DIGIT TM (DG Informatics) **in Brussels**. DIGIT-TM is a contract from the European Commission for IT services across Europe.

Main Responsibilities
Nature of the tasks of linked to the service:
Design and implement a secure environment, providing auditable access.
Provide tools for verifying the archived data and initial query facilities.
Analyse the reporting and analytical needs of the users and suggest, design and build a
suitable data structure.
Develop software tools that will transform and tailor the data structure in the secure
environment to meet the needs of the user. Build a library of initial reports and data extraction
utilities.
Assistance during relevant parts of testing, analysis, technical documentation, deployment,
evaluation and reporting.
Contribution to the project business analysis and project initiation phase: project charter,
inventory of data.
Participate in technical working groups and project related meetings.
The information necessary for the completion of these tasks and their deadlines will be given on a regular basis to the IT consultants delivering the service via the project management tool and during coordination meetings.

**Required Skills**:
In depth knowledge of modern data storage facilities, e.g. Data Warehouse, Data Lakes, Data Repositories, their design and operation.
Strong knowledge and experience in Oracle including schema design and maintenance,
PL/SQL, SQL, Oracle security features.
Good Java coding experience using Oracle databases.
Experience with integration technologies such as REST, SOAP and/or JMS
Strong analysis and methodical problem solving abilities to create logical and innovating
solutions to complex problems;

Optional Skills
Following expertise is considered as an asset. It would be considered an advantage if the
Knowledge of EC ICT systems and infrastructure.
