**What type of breed are we looking for?**:
The Procurement Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the procurement process for Edgard & Cooper, ensuring that all goods and services are acquired at the best possible price and quality. They will be responsible for developing procurement strategies and policies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

**What will be in your bowl?**:

- Manage the entire acquisition process for new products from sourcing to negotiating prices and terms of the contract.
- Review existing portfolio to ensure continuous cost improvement.
- Define product specifications based on commercial requirements including quality and packaging.
- Source and Identify new suppliers and validate these suppliers through site visits and coordinating vendor audits, certifications, etc.
- Prepare and manage sourcing tenders to suitable suppliers.
- Analyse tender results and prepare negotiations.
- Negotiate and develop contracts with suppliers on volume, price, quality of products procured, and logistics/transport agreements.
- Engage in regular negotiations with suppliers to ensure continuous improvement.
- Coordinate with suppliers/vendors as well as the QA team to ensure the supplier maintains quality and service agreements.
- Work with suppliers to identify opportunities for cost improvement and category innovation.
- Manage indirect purchasing costs by identifying priority categories to improve and drive effective change with the indirect category owners.
- Setting purchasing guidelines & indirectly managing indirect category owners to comply with the guidelines.

**What skills & tricks should you bring?**:

- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in procurement, with at least 3 years in a managerial role within an FMCG company, ideally in the food industry.
- Fluent English, good knowledge of Dutch or French is a plus.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Knowledge of procurement regulations and standards, as well as best practices in procurement processes and procedures.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions based on findings.
- Solution & result oriented, continuously looking for improvement.
- Willingness to travel (25% of the time).
- Hybrid with 3 days in the home office (Kortrijk).
