Financial & Business Controller

As **Financial & Business controller **you hold a key position between operations and the financial department and provide the necessary insights to steer the business. Your responsibilities will consist of:
**Analyze current financial and operational performance**:
- Make transparent what drives current financial performance of the organization, benchmark business processes against relevant KPIs and make recommendations on business processes based on financial data.
- Manage, improve and further develop business intelligence dashboards.
- Support month-end process and ensure accurate and timely figures and prepare monthly management reports (actuals, budget, forecast, variances, draft management opinion, advice business to steer future performance).
- Support further development and compliance of internal financial policies & procedures.
- Working together closely with the Group CFO/Head Group Controller, Divisional Managing director, Divisional Management Team members (e.g. sales, operations & finance directors).
**Predict the future (short term)**:
- Predict future financial performance based on internal and external business driver events through development of forecasting & reporting frameworks.
**Support strategy design**:
- Support the business with defining the long term strategy and to translate this into a long term financial plan
- **Assist in integrating and supporting recent acquisitions**
- **Provide support during business-critical events**: CAPEX decisions, M&A transactions, etc.

**Qualifications**
- Master’s degree in applied economic sciences/commercial engineering or similar finance/accounting focused degrees
- 4 years of experiences, previous business controlling experience in a large corporate environment is a plus
- Proficient in English and Dutch/French, with a good knowledge of the other language (Dutch/French)
**Talent & skills**
- Mature and autonomous worker with attention to detail;
- Critical thinking, analysis and presentation of data from a global financial perspective;
- Strong project management/communication skills and ability to effectively cope in stressful situations;
- Strong affinity with or willingness to learn Excel/PowerBI/Tableau/IBP Planning Analytics and related data-driven tools;
- Enthusiastic and dynamic team player with strong interpersonal skills.
