**Supply Chain & Purchasing Coordinator**

Skylane Optics (BE) Ltd has been acquired by Halo Technology in 2020.

Halo Technology is a global vendor of compatible optical transceivers. The group employs c.350 people globally and expanded further in 2021 through multiple acquisitions with a now combined turnover of $250m.

Halo is the world’s leading third-party optical transceivers business serving customers from its supply facilities and sales offices in the USA, UK, Europe, and Asia.

This position will be based in BE and will report directly into our Operations Director.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assists in the Optical transceivers, Active Optical Cables and Direct Attach Cables commodity sourcing, including data and industry analysis.
- Maintains category sourcing strategy as well as adherence.
- Contributes to supplier relationship management
- Meets with Stakeholder senior leaders to understand business priorities and translate them into supply chain strategies; influence the industry and marketplace within the Optical transceiver, AOC, DAC categories
- Utilizes supply chain, business, and financial modelling tools.
- Drives supply base optimization including Lead time, buffer strategy and forecast.
- Negotiates with suppliers.
- Responsible for day-to-day operations of large, moderately complex suppliers.
- Partners with suppliers in minor strategic development.
- Assesses current and evolving business models in the marketplace.
- Negotiates acceptable contracting outcomes using known solutions.

**Knowledge and Skills**:

- Excellent understanding of global procurement processes, industry, and suppliers.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Preferred strong knowledge of optical transceiver industry, trends and technologies
- Excellent communication skills, including presentation and negotiation abilities.
- Strong Project Management Skills.
- Excellent team leadership and influencing skills.
- Mastery in English and local language.
- Ability to create a contract from standard company or customized contract templates with limited supervision.
- Applies cause and effect thinking to identify challenging contact risk areas.
- Strong ability to develop suppliers strategically.

**Experience**:

- Requires 3-5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain function.
