Trains and trams all around the world are equipped with Televic Rail solutions, from New Zealand to Canada, from China to the United States, from India to Belgium, England and France

Passenger information systems often need to be developed to meet a variety of norms and standards. One of these norms is TSI PRM, where PRM stands for Persons with Reduced Mobility. With regards to display content it comes down to have sufficient readability:

- Minimum font height ( mm );
- Maximum scroll speed ( characters / second );
- Minimum time of word visibility ( 2 seconds );
- Ascender/Descender size with regards to Capital height.
- Contrast of text vs backgrounds

Currently these requirements are being postprocessed after the font and settings have been created. But ideally it would be done at font and template creation to have a direct feedback for us and our customers.
For TFT screens, content templates are being created in Televic's fleet management tool 'LiveCom Suite'. These templates are being created based on display resolution but not on physical size. The goal for this project is to create a validator that analyzes the chosen fonts and field definitions and provides a report whether the different requirements are met by analyzing the used font in relation with the field in which it will be displayed.
