Introduction to the School

The International School of Brussels (ISB) is a dynamic, inclusive learning organization committed to developing independent learners and international citizens. The ISB learning journey supports students from preschool to grade 12. The school is divided into four Divisions, each of which is specially designed to provide an environment in which students can engage, connect, innovate and be empowered:

- Early Childhood Center corresponding to pre-school classes to Grade 2 (Ages 3 to 8)
- Elementary School corresponding to Grade 3 to Grade 6 (Ages 8 to 12)
- Middle School corresponding to Grade 7 to Grade 9 (Ages 12 to 15)
- High School corresponding to Grade 10 to Grade 12 (Ages 15 to 18)

Introduction to the position

We are looking for a Generalist teacher for Grade 5 (Elementary School), as a result of potentially opening an additional class (one-year contract).

Our mission is based on inclusion, challenge and success to help all students flourish as international citizens and independent learners. There is a high degree of differentiation. The core of our programme aims to develop conceptual understanding, competencies and character. Teachers work in a highly collaborative culture. Purposeful technology integration is key and supported through a 1:1 iPad environment.
