Om de groei van de certificeringsactiviteiten te ondersteunen, zijn ze momenteel op zoek naar een **Research and Innovation Expert.**

**Het takenpakket**:

- Als Research & Innovation expert vertrek je in al jouw activiteiten vanuit een brede visie op het bedrijfsleven en op het begrip innovatie.
- Je legt je meer specifiek toe op een aantal actuele onderwerpen binnen het brede thema van de circulaire economie.
- Je bent actief op zowel collectief sectorniveau als op individueel bedrijfsniveau.
- Op collectief sectorniveau verricht je toegepast onderzoek met als doelstelling om de producten en processen van onze sector circulair te maken. Dit kan gaan over een brede waaier van producten (en de bijhorende processen), gaande van houten bouwproducten over meubelen tot en met matrassen. Je vertaalt circulaire doelstellingen in concrete en meetbare resultaten.
- Op individueel bedrijfsniveau lever je innovatieadvies op maat van de bedrijven van de hout
- en meubelindustrie. Je fungeert hierbij als gesprekspartner van bedrijfsleiders, R&D- verantwoordelijken en andere sleutelfiguren binnen de bedrijven.
- De kennis die je opbouwt via toegepast onderzoek breng je op een pragmatische manier over op de bedrijven.
- Je bouwt mee aan de circulaire toekomst van de hout
- en meubelindustrie.

**Wat wordt er van jou verwacht?**
- Je beschikt over een masterdiploma dat een voldoende wetenschappelijke en technische basis biedt (bv. industrieel ingenieur, burgerlijk ingenieur, bio-ingenieur, master in de chemie,) of over een gelijkwaardige achtergrond dankzij een combinatie van opleiding en ervaring.
- Achtergrond in chemie en/of materialenkennis is een troef voor deze functie.
- Je hebt een brede interesse voor thema’s als circulaire economie, duurzame materiaaltechnologie, recyclagetechnieken, circulaire businessmodellen,Specialist zijn in al deze deelthema’s is niet nodig. Jouw leergierigheid en aanpassingsvermogen stellen je in staat om snel te schakelen van het ene thema naar het andere.
- Je beschikt over relevante werkervaring op het vlak van onderzoek en innovatie.
- Je hebt ervaring met of interesse voor technieken zoals life cycle assessment (LCA), carbon footprint of andere methodes om duurzaamheid en circulariteit te objectiveren en te kwantificeren.
- Je denkt en werkt in functie van oplossingen en toegevoegde waarde voor de klant.
- Je hebt zin voor initiatief en je denkt en werkt toekomstgericht.
- Je bent een echte teamspeler.
- Je bent bij voorkeur tweetalig (N/F) en beschikt daarnaast over een basiskennis van het Engels.
- Je kan vlot overweg met de meest courante desktop
