Constructie Supervisor

JOB TITLE:
Site Supervisor.

FUNCTION:
As Site Mechanical Supervisor for a CCGT Project, the Site Supervisor is working in the Owner project team on site and work in close cooperation with the Site Manager, Construction Manager and Mechanical Lead Engineer.
More specifically, the Site Supervisor is in charge of:

- Follow-up, on a day-to-day basis the construction works of a certain area at site where different contractors are in charge of the works, with a special focus on HSE and schedule compliancy; The works to be supervised relates to equipments such as: Gas Turbine, Steam Turbine, Heat Recovery Steam Generator, Condenser, Water Treatment Plant, Gas Station, Cooling System, and miscellaneous Balance Of Plant (piping, valves, pumps, heat exchangers).
- Review the construction methods, erection procedure and drawings, and verify the conformity of the real construction with the reference documents.
- Review the construction Time Schedule related to this area and monitor the effective progress compared to the planned activities; Report any deviation to the planned timing.
- Detect any non-conformity or punch list item and report it as per the project procedure and tools in place.
- Maintain at site, a logbook of the daily activities performed.
- Assist the Owner's Package Manager who is in charge of the equipment that are under your site supervision in the weekly/monthly progress meeting.
- Day-to-day problem solving and dealing with any issues that arise.
- Ensure that the contractual requirements in relation to the site works and organization are followed.
- Under the guidance of the Site Manager/Construction Manager, support the process of approval for the work authorizations for site works performed by the contractors.
- Follow-up and act on information which is given with regards to HSE. Support the Site Manager in the handover from construction to commissioning of different systems.

PROFILE:

- Master degree in Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering OR a non-universitary diploma coupled with a strong experience in Mechanical construction.
- Experience in construction supervision on industrial projects.
- Experience in Thermal power plant Site construction.
- A strong safety and environmental awareness and always take responsibility for the health and safety of oneself and the other people in the team.
- A hands-on-mentality and service-minded attitude.
- Good communication (verbal/writing).
- Skills in English and French.
- Take initiatives and be a team-player, anticipate.
