Indirect Commodity Buyer

For our Purchasing Department in Dendermonde, we are looking for an _**_Indirect commodity Buyer._**

***What will you do for us as an Indirect Commodity Buyer.**

The role of the indirect Commodity Buyer (ICB) is to execute regional & global strategy. By leading the local commodity the Indirect Buyer is responsible for driving the RFQ process and analyzing the results associated with the Request for Quote (RFQ)/Request for Information (RFI); Assure cost optimal sourcing of indirect equipment, material, services, and investments to fulfill the business demands of the region EUROPE. Cross-functional work in a matrix organization is key.

**Key areas of accountability**:

- Supplier screening and assessment in accordance to purchasing requisition
- RFQ/RFI process
- Supplier selection, price/terms negotiation, contract negotiation
- On-time delivery
- Key supplier management & performance
- Contentiously cost reduction and source optimization

**Who are you?**
- Academic / Professional Qualification: bachelor’s degree, master’s degree is preferred.
- Expertise/Skills: 3-5 years purchasing experience and knowledge in Automotive or relevant industry.
- Experience with SAP is necessary.
- Experience in capex or indirect spend purchase is a plus.
- Language skills: Excellent proficiency in English and Dutch (oral & written)
- Personal Attributes: Awareness, critical thinking, ethical/integrity, accountable teamwork, communication skills, and milestone experience.
- Basic level of contract knowledge is a plus
