Camera Operator/editor

What you’ll do:

- To cover a wide variety of news stories in London, the UK and abroad, often at short-notice and at times on your own.
- To fulfill a flexible role as part of a clear and equally shared priority system with regards to teams responding to breaking news.
- To develop your experience and expertise to enhance your ability to be at the heart of the creative and editorial process.
- The operation of the latest ENG news cameras and field editing systems.
- The operation of bonded, IP technologies to deliver LIVE and recorded video content from the field.
- To take responsibility for ENG camera, sound and personal broadcast equipment including the use of company pool vehicles when required*.

What you’ll bring:
- Having the ability to operate a range of cameras, editing and transmission equipment for news gathering purposes (Sony PXW-X400 ENG cameras as well as more lightweight cameras including GH5 DSLR’s).
- Confidence in using non-linear editing systems with an ability to understand the complex “in-house” workflow, from acquisition to contribution ie Adobe Premiere.- Having the ability to capture and edit a wide variety of TV and online news content including long-form features.
- Good IT skills.
- Having a basic knowledge of more recent IP, satellite uplink and cellular bonding equipment used to deliver LIVE pictures and edited material from any location or environment. (Sky News LiveU/Aviwest/Dejero units).
- Possessing a strong sense of how news works for ONLINE platforms.
- A full drivers licence and passport of your adopted country (or countries).- Other requirements:
