**Mission**

Within the Center of Excellence, the mission of the Engineering Expert aims to provide technological and maintenance/automation support to facilitate integrated solutions for the plants in scope by implementing good practices from other factories or new solutions. Based on her/his experience, she/he will determine the best technical solution to set up or improve the actual conditions of the selected plants.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Lead projects as defined by the Center of Excellence Steerco while ensuring a standardized framework, methodology and process in place that govern business processes across the organization
- Manage the industrialization including planning, budget, documentation, coordination, feasibility, cost effectiveness in respect of health, safety and environmental standards.
- Builds a robust Engineering capability within the organization to ensure products and process design are feasible and conform to customer quality specifications.
- Directs manufacturing development and engineering resources to provide for the next generation of products, product systems, markets and the continuous renewal of growth and profitability.
- Effectively communicates performance expectations, manage, evaluate, monitors and develops employees to ensure their maximum contribution to the achievement of technology strategy and business goals.
- Conducts process assessments on operational practices, process control, equipment and maintenance: audits on current issues and pain-points, using the resulting information to direct and prioritize areas of business improvement
- Takes the lead for searching for new technologies and support Etex ITC/process experts for innovation development. Assess the performance of new equipment installed.
- Responsible to share experiences and best practices inside the Center of Excellence teams and translate into solutions. At the same time, responsible to share and investigate similar solutions with the Etex Engineering Team.

**Skills and Experience**
- Minimum education: Industrial Engineer degree (or equivalent by experience)
- Minimum experience: 3-8 years (mechanical and electrical, good knowledge of Automation control is a strong asset)
- Language skills: English - any other language (French, German, Dutch, Spanish, ) is a strong asset
