In order to support the growth of our consulting activity in the public and homeland security sectors across European Institutions and Belgian customers, Sopra Steria is looking for a Business Analyst with min. 4 years of experience.
**Your Mission**:
- ** **As Business Analyst you understand fast the objectives and the scope of the project, what the client has today and where he heads for.
- You gather the user requirements through different techniques (documentation, meetings, trainings, etc.) and you define the scope and requirements in a functional documentation.
- Taking into account all the quality constraints, you take an active role in the creation of the adequate solution for the client.
- You support the experts in the definition of the technical constraints and in the design of the solution.
- You are an actor of the project progress, constantly in relation with the client and the project delivery team.
- You report to the project manager, or you can act as the project manager on smaller projects.
- As Business Analyst, you will play a key role in designing, building and delivering high value solutions that help our clients move forward in every part of their business, from strategic planning to day-to-day operations.
Through your consulting assignments, you will:
- Support the identification of strategic issues and performance gaps
- Contribute to the design, documentation and implementation of new operating models and processes
- Demonstrate leadership in process re-engineering and during the implementation of new IT strategy and technologies generating organizational change
- Develop your skills in project management to ensure the completion of the assignment on time, within budget and with the adequate level of quality.
**Your Profile**:
We are looking for someone with:
In-depth knowledge either in Homeland Security, European Institutions or Belgian public sector, especially with regards to their digital transformation challenges, such as:
- Optimisation and digitalisation of the business processes within an organisation
- Evolution towards a customer-centric approach
- Open architecture and design of reusable services through APIs and microservices deployed on cross-domain platforms
- Impact of recent legislations on the governance, risk management compliance, and cybersecurity aspects of the resources of an organisation
Interoperability and exchange of data between public services at various levels (national, regional and also cross-countries among EU Member States) taking into consideration authentic sources, national service buses, standard data formats and challenges with unique identifiers
Proven experience of min. 2 years in UML, preferably with Sparx System Enterprise Architect, drafting the main artefacts of business/functional analysis: Requirements, Use Cases, Sequence Diagrams, Data Models, and Test Scenarios. Knowledge of Business Architect concepts and experience with ArchiMate is a plus
Proven experience with Agile methodologies, ideally demonstrated by one or more certifications such as Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), PMI-ACP, or SAFe 4 Agilist
Hands-on attitude with great leadership skills to guide a team of junior analysts and allow them to grow and develop their competencies
Ideally, trilingual English/French/Dutch. If not, EN/FR or EN/NL with passive knowledge of French or Dutch is necessary.
An understanding of the human and cultural challenges posed by digital transformation processes with proven communication skills to be able to convey results concisely up to C-level executives
Exposure to latest digital technologies: RPA, AI, chatbots, etc.
**Your knowledge/experience**:
- ** **You have strong analytical and synthetical skills
- Previous experience with Business Process Modeling is an asset
- You have a good experience in UML-EA-Sparx
- You have an effective experience working in a JAVA environment
