**Synatom** - a subsidiary of ENGIE Electrabel - is legally responsible for establishing and managing Belgium's nuclear provisions, i.e. financial resources which are set aside to eventually cover the costs of nuclear power plant decommissioning and of the final storage of the irradiated fissile materials.

With the commitment of ENGIE Electrabel to fully fund nuclear provisions by 2030, SYNATOM will become one of the largest institutional investor in the Belgian landscape.

SYNATOM’s investment team is responsible to ensure the real value of the fund, considering the long-term liabilities, by defining and implementing the long-term strategy for the investments.

**Key responsibilities**

As Investment Operations Analyst, your will:

- Facilitate the decision-making process of the Investment Committee and Board of Directors (organizing meetings, preparing reports, etc.).
- Execute and monitor decisions taken by the Investment Committee, Board of Directors and the General Assembly.
- Ensure monthly operations such as contributions, capital calls, invoices, etc.
- Ensure good communication and cooperation between stakeholders (managers, custodians, auditors, accountants, etc.).
- Ensure proper fund administration processes such as opening of accounts or set-up of mandates.
- Support the Investment team on investment related topics such as the definition of strategic asset allocation for specific plans, selection, and monitoring of assets managers, etc.

**Qualification and skills**

For this position, we are looking for the following qualifications:

- High level education in Business Administration, Economics or Finance. An additional degree (e.g. CFA, CAIA, etc.), or willingness to pass an additional degree is a plus.
- At least 3-years relevant work experience in fund administration, asset management or financial consulting.
- Interest in investments and financial markets.
- Analytical, organized, and meticulous.
- Ability to take initiatives, learn quickly and challenge the status quo.
- English and French required, Dutch is a plus.
- Respect ethical and governance rules.
