Associate Scientist in Neurodegeneration

A fixed-term (1 year) position for an Associate Scientist is available in the Neuroscience Discovery Therapeutic Area in Beerse.
**Key Responsibilities**:
Plan, conduct and analyze experiments to support both in vitro and in vivo project supporting studies
Timely write accurate scientific experimental electronic reports.
Follow all Environmental, Health & Safety laboratory safety standards and maintain company compliance requirements.
Active participation in collaborative research activities.

**Required**:
Demonstrated experience with in vitro research including cell culture, molecular biology, biochemistry and imaging techniques (i.e. cell culture, qPCR, ELISA, SDS-PAGE, ICC, fluorescence/confocal microscopy).
Data-driven and detailed oriented, with strong organizational and record-keeping skills to run several experiments simultaneously.
Experienced in the writing and composition of scientific reports.
Proven critical scientific mindset and creativity to troubleshoot and solve scientific problems.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to connect optimally with people internally and externally.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Professional proficiency in english (oral and written)
**Preferred**:
Hands-on experience in various in vivo techniques (routine animal handling, dissections, IHC) with Accreditation or Certification of Regularization by Federation of European Laboratory Animal Science Associations (FELASA B or C), or similar foreign certification
Knowledge of and experience in neurodegenerative disorders.
Expertise in the field of lysosomal biology.
Hands on iPSC and iPSC derived neurons cellular culture
Hands on rodents primary neuronal cultures
