**Wat zal je job inhouden?**:
**Wat doe je precies?**
Je bent verantwoordelijk voor de coördinatie en de administratieve afhandeling van de vracht op vluchten en trucks.
Concreet zorg jij er voor dat vracht op tijd terechtkomt op de juiste vlucht of truck, in de juiste omstandigheden.
Je verzamelt informatie, je verwerkt die en zorgt dat de verplichte documenten correct en tijdig aan of van boord gaan.
Dit houdt onder meer in:
- invoer van gegevens in bedrijfsspecifiek datasysteem
- controleren van documenten (bv. zijn de documenten douane-technisch in orde?)
- verwerken van vlucht
- en truckdocumenten volgens de procedures van IATA, overheid en luchtvaartmaatschappijen. Dit houdt ook het verwerken van Dangerous Goods en andere speciale cargo in.
- uitwisselen van gegevens met douane, klanten en interne diensten omtrent de kenmerken van de vracht (aard, kwantiteit,...). Zo geef je bijvoorbeeld de instructies door aan de arbeiders: welke vracht moeten zij laden op welke vlucht en wanneer moet dat precies gebeuren?
Je werkt in een volcontinu systeem, in shiften. Dit is een functie met een interessant groeipad. Het Cargo Office is opgesplitst in vier zogenaamde clusters met toenemende complexiteit. Je begint in Cluster 1 met basistaken en uiteindelijk kan je evolueren naar Cluster 4 waar je de full freighters helemaal voor je rekening neemt met zo’n 100 ton aan vracht per vlucht. Je doet zowel export (getruckte vracht gaat op een vertrekkend vliegtuig) als import (de omgekeerde beweging).
