In your role as a Business Lawyer, you will advise your colleagues on legal issues and general risk management. Our client is looking for someone who can provide legal advice in various matters and is able to suggest pragmatic approaches to business issues. You will report to the Head of Finance in this role.

You will be involved in various legal topics including but not limited to: drafting and reviewing all types of legal documents and agreements, corporate governance and housekeeping, legal and regulatory compliance and following up on legal proceedings and disputes.
**Beschrijving**

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

- You act as a business partner and offer accurate legal advice to the different teams in our organization. Together with them you will look for concrete solutions ;
- You work together with the lawyer with regard to corporate law, contract law, privacy, intellectual property, ethics, labor law, GDPR and contract review. You always look at the broader framework in which the legal issue is situated ;
- You will draw up legally conclusive contracts, review existing contracts or proposals, give advice on changes and the scope of specific clauses and support your colleagues in contract negotiations where necessary ;
- You coordinate the collaboration with external law firms regarding more specialized legal matters ;
- You will be the general point of contact for all matters related to risk management, such as insurance, among others;
- You organize the document management of all legal documents ;
- You will set up processes and procedures around compliance and advise the management team on it;
- You will be responsible for monitoring the legal obligations of our company (duties as Company Secretary).

**Profile**
- You have your master's degree in law complemented by at least 3 years of relevant experience as a generalist business lawyer. Experience in the legal profession is a plus;
- You have excellent oral and written communication skills in Dutch and English. Fluency in French is a plus;
- You are able to handle confidential information in an extremely discrete way and you adhere to the highest ethical standards ;
- You combine a sense of responsibility with accuracy and a flexible attitude, without losing attention to quality, safety and environment. Always with a commercial vision where cost-benefit prevails over the strictly legal ;
- You have an entrepreneurial mentality and a "can do" attitude and you are able to keep an overview of different ongoing projects and their status, without getting lost in the details;
- You are a problem solver and have the necessary diplomatic skills that enable you to act as a mediator when necessary.
