IDS is a leading in-vitro diagnostic solution provider to the clinical laboratory market. We develop, manufacture and market innovative immunoassays and automated immunoanalyser technologies to provide improved diagnostic outcomes for patients.

The Liege site was founded as a spin off from the University of Liege in 1989 and now houses 70 employees spread across operations, R&D and administrative functions. It is centre of excellence for the production and development of IDS automated assays and ancillaries for use on the IDS range of analysers. Here, we produce around 170,000 assay kits per year and have five R&D teams working on development projects related to automated assays.

In this key leadership position, you’ll unite all departments to drive operational excellence—strategically planning, coordinating, and optimising manufacturing processes for maximum efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. You’ll foster a culture of continuous improvement while ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Production & Efficiency**
- ** Ensure Product Availability**: Align production with the sales team to maintain optimal stock levels and ensure a robust scheduling system that enhances planning and operational flow.
- ** Optimise Production Processes**: Drive efficiency by streamlining workflows, implementing smart automation, and reducing waste.
- ** Monitor & Improve Performance**: Set clear production timelines and KPIs, making real-time adjustments to keep operations running smoothly and cost-effectively.

**Quality & Compliance**
- ** Elevate Product Quality**: Transition from traditional, knowledge-based methods to fully documented, standardized best practices. Collaborate with internal teams and third parties to reduce batch variations and ensure consistency.
- ** Ensure Regulatory Compliance**: Lead health and safety initiatives to maintain and exceed compliance standards, creating a safe and legally compliant workplace.
- ** Champion a Safety Culture**: Promote a proactive safety-first mindset, ensuring that employees follow best practices and regulations at all times.
